"Ponniyin Selvan _2 "is seheduled to release on 28th April 2023.

After creating a massive record  at the box office with PS_1 director Mani Ratnam is all set to release the second part of Tamil film "Ponniyin Selvan" in the year 2023."Ponniyin Selvan 2" will hit theatres worldwide on April 28 2023.

The historical drama is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel of the same name, which chronicles the story of the early days of Arulmozhivarnan one of the most powerful kings in the south, who went on to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola.

The movie is produced by Madras Talkies and also backed by Lyca Productions.The film features music by A.R Rahman.

The film features Vikram as Aditya Karikalan,Ashwarya Rai Bachchan as dual role Nandini & Mandakini,Karthi as Vallavaraaiyan Vanthiyathevan, Trisha Krishnan  as Kundavai,Prakash Raj as Sundara Cholan ,Jayaram as Azhwarkkadiyan Nambi ,Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman ,and Aishwarya Lakshmi as Poonguzhali  in lead roles.
