" Sardar " is scheduled for 
theatrical release on Tomorrow  (21st October)  2022 .Sardar spy action thriller film written and directed by P. S Mithran and produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under the banner of prince pictures .

The film stars Karthi in a dual role with Raashi Khanna ,Rajisha Vijayan ,Chunkey Pandey ,Laila, Rithvik ,Murali Sharma ,Myna Nandhini ,Munishkanth  ,Sahana Vasudevan ,Shyam Krishnan, llavarasu ,Yugi Sethu ,Avinash, Swaminathan ,Abdool Lee and Mohammad Ali Baig in prominent roles .

The film music composed by G. V PrakashKumar ,with cinematography doned by George C. Williams and film edited by Ruben .

The film marks Hindi film actor Chunky Pandey's debut in Tamil cinema ,and Laila's comeback to cinema after sixteen years . 

Inspector Vijay Prakash ( Karthi) is a publicity hungry officer who wants to become famous ,and he falls for Shaini ( Raashi Khanna ) an advocate .Later he takes up a mission of retrieving an important file with contains military secrets of the Indian intelligence agencies.while investigating the case ,Vijay finds a connection between the file and an ex - spy named Chandrabose aka Sardar - ( Karthi) ,who is also a master in - disguise, what is sardar's connection to the file and Vijay Prakash ( as Sardar resembles Vijay ) forms the crux of the polt.
