Dear Friends,

Today marks the beginning of my 12th directorial venture. Over the years, many of you have stood by me—with support, with encouragement, and at times with criticism—and for all of it, I am deeply grateful.

Usually, I share updates from the planning stages of a film’s journey. But with this project, I chose a different path. For reasons close to my heart, I’ve kept it quiet until now.

My debut film Pakal—India’s first feature on farmer suicides—was made with a deep sense of social responsibility. Two decades later, I feel that same sense of purpose guiding me again. This time, the focus is on the pressing issue of man-animal conflict, an issue that’s both contemporary and critical to our society.

I’m fortunate to be working with an incredible team—prominent actors of the Malayalam film industry alongside passionate newcomers—united by a shared vision. My production house, Kerala Talkies, is committed to narrating stories that are socially relevant, and with this film, we renew that commitment.

This project came to life through the collective effort of many dear friends who have joined hands with me in this journey. Artists and technicians are all working with one goal in mind: to make this film truly meaningful.
