The film stars Dhanush, Kriti Sanon , Prakash Raj ,Priyaanshu Painyuli, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Paramvir Singh, Chittaranjan Tripathi, Jaya Bhattacharya, Vineethkumar Singh, Mohammed Zeeshan , Sushil Dahiya and Maahir Mohhlidddin in lead roles.

Tere Ishq Mein tells the story of Shankar (Dhanush) and Mukti (Kriti Sanon), whose passionate romance soon spirals into chaos when love clashes with betrayal, heartbreak, and emotional turmoil. The film explores the destructive consequences of obsession, longing, and jealousy – tracing how an ordinary love story morphs into a tragic spiral of vengeance and inner anguish. What begins as youthful romance gradually shifts toward darker psychological and emotional conflict.

As the story transitions into its latter half, the tone becomes heavier and more intense. Emotional conflicts, betrayals and inner turbulence come to the fore. The film attempts to evolve the romantic drama into a raw, emotionally charged tale of love, loss, and vengeance. 

Dhanush delivers one of his most powerful performances in recent years. He embodies the emotional turmoil of a man torn between love, hurt, and vengeance with conviction, capturing pain, anger, and vulnerability convincingly. Kriti Sanon matches him with her nuanced portrayal of Mukti: delicate yet intense – conveying suppressed turmoil with grace and depth. 

The film’s music and background score composed by AR Rahman is one of its major strengths, enhancing the emotional highs and lows with evocative melodies and dramatic cues.
