" The Courier " The True Story .

The Courier is a historical spy film directed by Dominic Cooke. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Greville Wynne, a British businessman who was recruited by the Secret Intelligence Service to deliver messages to secret agent Oleg Penkovsky (played by Merab Ninidze) in the 1960s. Rachel Brosnahan, Jessie Buckley,  Angus Wright , Kirill Pirogov ,Maria Mironova ,Emma Penzina and Zeljko lvanek also star. 
 

The true story of a British businessman unwittingly recruited into one of the greatest international conflicts in history. Forming an unlikely partnership with a Soviet officer hoping to prevent a nuclear confrontation, the two men work together to provide the crucial intelligence used to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The based on true events, modestly affluent existence with a secure future ,that ,on Short notice ,heeds an unlikely higher calling and heroically puts it aII on the line in order to become a much needed spur of the moment spy.Very satisfying cinema .A notable achievement .A hearty 4 Stars .
