" GODZILLA " King of the Monsters Film Review.

GODZILLA : King of the Monsters is a 2019 American monster film directed and co _ written by Michael Dougherty.

A Sequel to GODZILLA ( 2014 ) it is the 35th flim  in the GODZILLA Franchise. The third film in Legendary's Monster Verse ,and the third GODZILLA film to be completely produced by a Hollywood studio. 

The film stars Kyle Chandler  as Mark Russal ,

 , Vera Farmiga as Emma Russell, Millie Bobby Brown as Madison Russell , Bradley Whitford as Dr.  Stanton,  Sally Hawkins as Dr. Vivienne Graham,  Thomas Middle ditch , Aisha Hinds , O' Shea Jackson Jr , David Strathairm , Ken Watanabe , and Zhang Ziyi. 

The film is dedicated to executive producer Yoshimitsu Banno and Haruo Nakajima ,the original GODZILLA suit performer ,who both died in 2017.

A city block buster that injured tension and a gathering sense of dread enough ,at least , to give it's dynamic correction of San Francisco real estate prices some emotional heft . It was  thoughtfull and somber about it's high , mostly off screen body count in ways films this sort frequently are not.

The message is clear : This Godzilla movie is gonna be wall to wall with the Monsters ,contemplativeness be damned .
